A policeman recorded himself sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl using her mobile phone, a court heard.
PC Luke Christopher Horner was off duty when he travelled more than an hour from his home in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, to engage in sexual activity with the schoolgirl in Northamptonshire on 11 June this year.
The 24-year-old Thames Valley Police (TVP) officer pleaded guilty to a single count of sexual activity with a child during a hearing at Northampton Crown Court on Thursday.
Horner appeared at the court via video link from HMP Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.
Horner will remain in custody ahead of his sentence, which is scheduled for 8 September.

A police dog has been shot and killed after it turned on its handler and attacked her.
Lancashire Police teams were searching for a missing person in Walton-le-Dale when PD Jax became aggressive, biting the handler and causing serious injuries.
Further patrols, including armed officers, attended the scene and attempted to restrain the dog, a Belgian Malinois.
But all efforts failed and PD Jax was shot by armed officers.
The police dog handler suffered a serious upper leg injury and remains in hospital.
