Media The Tank Abbot Podcast -- he tried to fight Ronda Rousey?

Tank was not actually being a jerk, this interview was shortly after Ronda and Rogan said she could beat Cain. The whole thing was so embarrassing and beyond cringe. Tank called it out for what it is.

This isn't quite true. There was a famous incident in the mid-2000s where Tank was at an event, got on the mic and challenged anyone from the crowd to come fight him. A young Brandon Vera came to the cage and started wrapping his hands. Tank left instead of fighting.

Did she actually say that about cain? I'm indifferent to Ronda as a fighter and person but that's an insane claim to make.

I could also beat cain under the right circumstances like if his hands are tied behind his back.

She said she would beat Cain Velasquez in a fight under the right circumstances, which I assume involve ruphies, Xanax, and some sort of paralysis inducing nerve block.

Wow, that's amazing.

She definitely was surrounded by sycophants and yesmen, but that's another level of arrogance and delusion.

She had a great base of grappling skills that she completely abandoned to brawl.

This is always misrepresented and blown out of proportion. She didn't say she would beat Cain Velasquez. Some idiot asked her if she could beat Cain Velasquez and she said she believed it's physically possible, under the right set of circumstances. Two very different things.

Jim Miller said the exact same thing about Brock Lesnar and didn't take any shit for it. He also has a great explanation of the fighter mentality for non-fighters:



TLDW: as a fighter the mentality has to be there. On fight day you have to be the most confident person on the planet, regardless of the odds.

The Tank thread the other day (the Rampage podcast) is the first time I've ever seen a Tank thread without someone arguing about his homosexuality/bisexuality. I was wondering if anyone else remembered his comments and the comments about him.
