Currently reading the Aussie metal digi mag which is quite chunk full of interesting Aussie HM and HR bands : Screaming Jets (already mentioned here), Hidden Intent, etc.

I played a gig with Hidden Intent a couple of years ago. They were nice dudes and great players.

Recently revisited the first two Silverchair albums Frogstomp and Freak Show after many many years and i still like them both. Nothing else after that though.

I liked Diorama but they really lost me with the one after that, the Straight Lines one.

I'll plant my flag in the sand on this one, the main riff in "Freak" is as great a simple rock riff as you could come up with. So easy on guitar but also so fun, great one for me to jam on with my mates.
