I Train muay thai also...I trained 7- 9.30 mon-fri first wud be muay thai then followed by BJJ. Iam young and fit so.!!! ahaha
I want to go back and live there - Hopefully get a work visa through teaching english then after doing that awhile get a better paid job.....I just wanna train and be happy which is something I am not very here in shitty england :-(
Yeah dude try and go to muay thai it really complements the BJJ and its great for cardio

yo man I think me and you are the same! I trained in brasil last year for 6 months and miss it everyday....It sucks adjusting to the grappling back in england cos people are less aggressive and have less techique :-( ....you kinda lose what you gained in brazil plus I can only train twice a week here while in brasil it was 5 times a week.
message me back dude!!

Hi
To be honest I didnt really get much help through Dennis either. He knows a lot about Brazil but I think he specialises in Gordos and Barra.
What I suggest is to stay at a hostel first and when you meet Riccardo (also ask to speak to a black belt called Rafael who sometimes has gringos stay at his place) ask about places you can stay. The people who got the best accomodation did things that way. I stayed with a person I met on the Fight Zone facebook at first but got bored so I moved to a hostel which was way more fun. The hostel I stayed at is called Piratas de Ipanema. It was dirty and occasionally noisy but I met a lot of quality people there and pool of people to go out with. It cost about 15 Reais (£4.70) per night (its the cheapest you will find) with 1 day free if you stay a week. It is right next to Ipanema beach and less than 10 minutes away from Fight Zone and perhaps 5 minutes away from Copacabana beach.
If you need some more help feel free to ask.

Hi Mate,
I have been reading Gerbil and your posts. Sounds like you guys are having a hell of a time.
I will be traveling to Brazil next month and training at Fight Zone Copacabana. I was wondering if you would recommend any where to stay?
Dennis said he will look but doesn't have anything down that way at the moment.
Where did you stay? What was your accommodation like? How much per month was it?
Thanks, your help is appreciated.
