Almost every city I've ever moved to I didn't have a job yet. I've always figured as long as you have enough saved up to get you thru the set up costs and then a few months of living you'll be fine. Took me 3 months in Vegas before I made my first paycheck. But moves are good, especially if it's one that you really want.
Work is...well work. I'm still on light duty so I'm just sitting in the office most of the day. Actually I find out next week if the doctors will let me continue with this work or if they're pulling me from it and assigning me to a different department. They don't think my shoulder will be fully right and that it's not good enough for the heavy lifting this job requires all day long. I don't travel for my job, but I do get to fly for free as one of the perks, so I keep busy with that on my days off.
What's the latest, ever end up moving? I'm back to the same old things, finally back at work, doing my traveling again, just trying to make each day better than the one before.
Went to the doctor a few days ago, looks like one more month to go before returning to work. Good, because I have been bored as shit sitting around these past few months.
I'm sure the opportunity, pay scale, and fun level are greater in Ottawa. Big moves like that can be great, I moved to Vegas from a small city in Georgia. Definitely glad I did it.
What's going on, how's the job treating you? My surgery went pretty well, it's been 3 weeks now. Doing physical therapy 5 hours a week, getting it back going, all that good shit.
I see this place didn't really pick up too much while I was away, oh well.
This place can solve a little boredom, but it's not as enjoyable as it used to be. Fewer cool topics and more douchebag posters make for a bad mix. Nice to hear you finished school and landed a decent publishing job, that's awesome!
Blew out my shoulder at my airline job, lifting bags and just tore it, so now they're cutting me open to reattach the torn muscle and scrap away the scar tissue and drain the bursa sack. And at least 3 more months of being stuck at home...sucks.
It looks weird to see your name with no Buddha. Yeah, took a break for a while. Then I blew my shoulder out at my job, now laid up at the house and awaiting surgery, so I'm back more or less out of boredom. How about you, how are things on your end?
