In the online menu setting where you choose what weight class, how many rounds, etc., you should see an option to turn ON/OFF the DLC fighters. If you've got the downloadable characters Bader and Escuirado you can choose to find other people that have this option on. My advice is to leave it off so you have more people to get matched up with.
