Leg Kicks
I was just wondering if there is any real use for leg kicks. I usually use them to mix up my strikes and open up the head. Does anyone use them differently? Can you really do enough damage to them so that mobility is reduced? Cause I have f'ed up some legs pretty bad but never have they seemed slower.

I read a response from a developer on the undisputed website. Basically they lower the damage of headkicks or leg kicks and their speed. Hope that helps somewhat.

Leg kicks are a crucial part of a strikers arsenal. Generally they aren't used as one shot kills, but they are good at building up a plethora amount of damage over time. They literally kill the opponents base, making it hard for him to shoot or pivot into strikes.
The effectiveness of Leg Kicks rely a lot on form and accuracy, rather than power. It also relies on how much weight your opponent is putting on their leg. Sometimes you see one leg kick be enough to make the opponent visibly slow down. Other times it takes quite a few. Ask guys like Couture, leg kicks can be devastating for weeks after fights, depending on how good they were.
So the simple answer is yes. One of the most effective strikes in Martial Arts.

There's nothing like knocking the shit out of someone with a good legkick setup.

i love when my opponent throws leg kicks because it makes the takedown so much easier. i hardly throw them at all myself for fear of the counter takedown.
