Lag Switches in Submissions

There have been a few times I brought up the uses of Lag Switches, now it seems like more and more are cropping up, especially in the submission game.

Basically, for those who don't know, a Lag Switch interrupts the flow of traffic in internet gaming. Which means that while other users are experiencing lag and slow connection, sometimes it even freezes during the game, however, the person with the lag switch is playing at normal speed on their end.

So, if your fight suddenly slows down when your opponent is attempting a submission, the chances are, your opponent is using a lag switch on you.

Thought I'd give you all a heads of on yet another kind of cheating bastard.

We should make a list of all the people not to play with so no one has to deal with the BS.

Perhaps would be a good idea, while it's not as obvious to prove as quitters are, a sudden slowdown/freezing when someone is trying to submit you when you've been playing at a relatively normal speed the entire game just seems suspect.

I have a friend who knows all about video games (studied game design in university) and he said that it's more than likely that it was a lag switch.

So, we'll use this thread to list people who you suspect of being a lag switcher.

This is a rudimentary set out of a lag switch, when they want to create lag, they press the switch and they interrupt the traffic flow for a few seconds, apparently, it can also work to get through a transition block.

i've noticed this a few times. i fought one guy the other day and everything was going smoothly, once we ended up on the ground it got laggy as hell... luckily i still beat him as people that use cheating tactics usually suck at the game.

everyday i get more and more pissed off about online gaming, seems every game has cheaters, quitters, and other such dick heads now. i play games online to break up the boredom of single player games all the time but now its just frustrating, i havent played UFC online since about a week after it came out.

Why people have not given up on playing this game online is baffling.

It was fucked on release day, and it's still fucked today.
