I played until about halfway through and just stopped.
It was a great game... I just tend to lose interest in the middle of long games unless the story keeps pushing right along. Open world and sandbox type game are great that they let you do whatever you want, whenever you want.. but I rarely play through them for some reason

I just bought this game yesterday, so some tips without spoiling anything would be great. I feel like they didn't do a good enough job explaining things. They never said anything about radiation...and i seem to have poisoned myself somehow lol.
I also feel like I have a bunch of useless junk I am carrying around hoping to make something out of it. I went with repair, small guns, and sneak as my major skills, but sneak kinda sucks it seems. I like sneaking around in games like this and stealing/killing undetected, so hopefully it will get better.
Thanks for any help.

I played my first game lost and confused the whole way through. My character sucked so bad...haha
I just restarted and my biggest advice point is to start the game collecting as many bobbleheads as you can before you go mission happy. More importantly google and use fallout walkthrough guides liberally.
The fallout wiki site is my fav.

I can see that, i just started setting other golas for myself. Right now im trying to collect all the bobbleheads. Which is pretty fun. After that, i might try and 100% the game, collect all the trophies. Which will take awhile and wont even involve beating the game again

The game was great, what little I played of it. I traded it in for Fight Night Round 4, kind of wished I hadent now.
It was so long though. So much shit...you have to have alot of time on your hands if you want to get through everything in the game.

I didn't get 100% but I did manage to get all my skills to 100. I would suggest to take the perk that makes all the books you read worth 2 points instead of 1 as soon as it is available. Since there are 25 or 24 of each of the books this will result in 24 or 25 extra stat points, if you find all the books, which is much greater than any other perk.

once i ran out of ammo for the alien pistol and mini-nukes, i quit playing.
i wasn't too big of a fan of the expansions... they kinda nix the whole free-roam idea of the game, which is probably the best aspect imo.
