EA MMA is gonna tank badly

EA MMA is really counting on hardcore fans to make this a hit. And i hope we've all learned the hardcores dont make any difference when it comes to things like this. Couture and maybe...maybe fedor are the only ones on the game with name recognition. people will be like who the fuck is mousasi, le? people hear shamrock and i can tell u that they dont think its frank. Good luck EA Sports becuz this game will be on shelves for a while.

EA can hype up games as well as UFC can hype up their org. They have a hardcore following, they'll be fine.

Don't bother for EA. They ll buy the UFC licence as soon as it s available.

This. EA has all kinds of money. They could hype this game even without Fedor and Couture.

They spent that money hyping up Ali vs Tyson for fight night and it didnt do half as well as the UFC title.

This game will likely have a very limited release

On its 4th incarnation of the game. Fight Night Round 3 right now has more total sales than Undisputed. It's no surprise that the 4th one did not sell as much, and I wouldn't be surprised if they only went with making Fight Night games only when new a generation of gaming systems come out.

There are already like 5 other FN games, there hadn't been a MMA game in like 6 years.

The addition of Tyson wasn't enough to get people to pony up the cash for another boxing game (myself included). My FN3 is good enough to keep me satisfied until I see a larger improvement in the series.

Now if you're going to counterpoint with the Madden series releasing a game every year - it's a little different. We're talking about hundreds of stat changes, team changes etc with all the players. Most of the FN games have maybe 40-50 boxers in them, and since they only fight 1-2x a year and many are legends - very little will be different.

The EA Sports MMA game will be bought by many, including people like myself who felt that although it was fun at first, THQ really dropped the ball with giving the fans a decent MMA video game experience.

+ It has Randy - and I'd venture a guess to say he'll probably be on the cover.
