Level 30 Soldier, it's alright. The "millions of weapons" shit is misleading.

GTFO what's the point in a FPS when you don't even hae to aim.

Ya I picked it up for the PS3 yesterday. It's an amazing game. I have put Fallout GOTY, demons souls, Uncharted, and nba2k10 aside, and will be playing this for a while.

my psn id is : Fedor57 . I'm always down for a game.

Ya there are a few disappointments: frame rate issues in cut scenes, and not being able to invite friends yet (until a patch comes out), but for a new release, this game is great overall

I get off work in 4 hrs and will be killin some skags!

Glad to see people are buying it.

This game is amazing. I'm loving every minute of it. I have 3 friends that bought it and we have been running through the game.

For fans of loot grinds this is a must have. For me, it's damn near the perfect game.

Fedor57 will send you a friend invite. I haven't tried online yet. You cannot invite friends at this point? What, you just join whatever party is waiting to fill a 4 player coop team?

I played for a few hours solo and am currently working on beating bonehead.
I screwed up when collecting the guns in the case after killing the first boss. Ran back to the gun store to sell two of my guns so that I could add the boss's guns to my backpack. But when I ran, I fell off the little bridge and when i respawned, his gun case was empty, doh. All cuz I was too greedy to just drop the $40 dollar guns and wanted to get some cash for them first.
Anyway, now I am working on bonehead. He is pretty challenging. I am using the mordacai character.
This is my first FPS style game on ps3. I played MGIV a little but got kind of bored of all the cut scenes and i guess it is considered a tactical shooter rather than a fps anyway. Anyway, my point is that aiming is much more challenging than with PC FPS and a mouse. It adds to the fun though. And the AI is pretty cool in Borderlands, because most opponents have slightly unpredictable movement, and some even use cover extremely effectively.
I will prolly put Demon's Souls aside for a while, because this game is just more fun.
The millions of guns thing to me does not seem like a gimmick. It is an innovative idea they created, of making many different possible guns by basically random generation of all the different gun parts, plus each gun company with its own strengths and weaknesses. Then add the special effects like guns that shoot fire or can be used to aid in melee combat. I hope the online is as good as everything else. So far really enjoying it.

If you're new to shooters on consoles than Roland might be a better choice for you. He was designed for the casual/new people (healing turret is extremely helpful).

Not to tell you how to play, if you're enjoying the hunter and aren't finding it too challenging keep at it!

I deffinently think so. Having the entire weekend (for me) to play I can say without a doubt this is a game I will be playing for a long time to come.

For those of you with the game, any interesting weapons you wish to share?

My best so far is an SMG I found. On top of being an SMG (high rate of fire, good accuracy) it fires 4 bullets per shot and each does elemental fire damage. So it's ROF of 15/sec is multiplied by 4. I have never seen a gun in any game shoot as many bullets as this thing does lol. It's insane how much damage this thing does. Badasses fall like they were paper dolls. ("badass" is a classification of a creature that means it is extrememly powerful, for those without the game yet)

I also found an odd shotgun. It had a sniper scope (x3 zoom) and it shot 3 rockets at a time. I used that for quite a while on my Brick as the main penalty of a rocket launcher is it's reload time. This shotgun reloaded as fast as a normal shotgun though, so it made for an excellent weapon.

I love this game
