Not too too bad, what was so bad?

I think you guys are being overly critical about nothing IMO

for a 30 second commercial, what was SO bad? much better then the obnoxious hip hop music or etc

and I don't think the clapping/pounding is too too bad

they show St. Pierre training, hitting pads, a bit of his ground game and that's pretty much it

what's so amateurish about that? he's shown in the gym, hitting the mits, kicking pad rolling on the ground .... shadow boxing, using a speedbag,

and then a face shot of GSP .. commercial over

IMO your making a big fuss over nothing.

**and what do you mean "quality of Nike" as yes they have had creative ads over the years .. but what they're doing with LeBron and the whole Puppet ads at the moment are complete rubbish and utterly silly ... you wouldn't expect puppets from Nike is all im saying .. it's a joke ad.

So I have to ask, What did you want to see out of the commercial?

because I've seen much more obnoxious and worse commercials

the commercial showed St. Pierre in black and white training for a fight/working out .. other then the background music

what was so bad about it?

Big Time endorsement contracts

I was just thinking out loud for a sec

regardless of how good/bad you think this commercial is

Gatorade is a pretty widely known and huge company, and pretty big for an MMA fighter to be sponsored by (assuming GSP is, right?)

so how many other MMA fighters have big time endorsements?

and I don't mean with clothing lines (Affliction, Silver star)

what do you mean "fake"

I'll admit it looked odd to me seeing a fighter in a Gatorade ad, but that doesn't happen so often

when is the last time you've seen a fighter in a commercial as big as a Gatorade ad?

I have to agree it does look a bit ametuerish imo, on it's own.

Then again if I saw it in the middle of a block of commercials on television, I probably wouldn't think twice about it. Just, Hey cool a Gatorade comericial with GSP!

can you guys give statements to back up what your saying?

I mean this commercial has been called fake (is that possible, looks like a real commercial to me)

and amateurish. (what about it, is it the camera shots, etc)

it's a guy training for a fight

Gatorade could do the same thing with Usain Bolt working out, or a football player in the same scenerio ..what's so bad about that?

gatorade have a thing for getting big name commercials and then not knowing what to do with them so they turn out crap

The commercial is real...GSP signed with Gatorade a while back and the ESPN website reported on the ad as well. It's very similar to previous Gatorade ads including the one with Rashad Evans.
