Why was Kazuhiro Hamanaka fight controversial?

On the front page there was an article recapping the Cage Force event

http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/ham...ge-force-18483

and it was mentioned that Hamanaka's win was controversial. I did not see the event and wondered why it was so controversial. In the recap it listed numerous rule violations:

Round 1: Gadjiev illegally kneed Hamanaka in the head from the bottom

Round 2: Gadjiev grabbed the cage to stop a takedown and was warned
Gadjiev illegally kneed Hamanaka in the head for the 2nd time

Round 3: Gadjiev illegally kneed Hamanaka in the head from top position

From the recap it sounds like Hamanaka clearly won round 1 and won round 2. Round 3 sounded like it was clearly won by Gadjiev.

So since it sounds like Hamanaka was winning the fight what was so controversial about it. Gadjiev repeatedly violated the rules.
