[Request] Fighter's revenue
Would it be possible to have one of your reporters informing us about the actual revenue of the fighters? I've been reading the UFC 100 payouts article, and I was wondering how much money do the fighters get out of the PPVs. It's been rumored that Frank mir had spent 60k dollars in preparation for his fight, and I was wondering if this was true, did it mean he really gambled on a win, or he knew that the PPVs would largely repay him anyway. Besides that I would have been interested to read on how much the sponsors are actually paying the fighters too. to have a global view of the actual revenue of the fighters. An interesting question after UFC's demand to get money out of this too.
I would have investigated on my own if I could, but I really have no idea where I could find infos on that, and anyway, I'm sure some other ppl are interested in it too.
Thanks a lot for your articles anyway, it's really a pleasure to read.
Cheers,
Arthur

frank mir spending 60,000 dollars for a fight? what the fuck would he spend 60,000 for? that sounds rather ridiculous
nobody really knows how much money fighters make because a lot of things are not disclosed, but sponsors can give fighters tons of money... anywhere from a a few 100 dollars for fighters just getting started to several 1000 dollars for guys who are well known, but to be honest i have no clue what a fighter like gsp or fedor would get for sponsorships, but i have heard many times that a lot of fighters get sponsorship that is about equal to the money that the promotion is paying them so they in fact can get double of what you hear
fighters can get a lot of money from doing seminars and things of that nature and they can get money if they own a gym where other fighters train at
i would assume even if it says frank mir made 45,000 he might of made around 90,000 or so maybe more? i would not be shocked if he did because zuffa does not disclose all the amounts of money that they give guys

I do think that sometimes he is excited or winded from body shots. He has a huge drive to win - and when he sees an opening he puts everything he has into it.

I have always wondered how much they make including sponsors and PPV bonus but I don't think sponsors are required to say how much they pay fighters so they are probably the only ones that know.
