I think Hughes won for ring control (being on top of Serra doing nothing)I Do think the ref needed to stand them up sooner. He waits too long with guys being inactive.

I am a closet Hughes fan and a big supporter of Renzo's first American black belt Matt.
I don't think he was robbed though. I just watched the third round it was close. Both guys took each other down but Serra was threatening more than Hughes.
Throwing a few rib shots is not enough for me to give Hughes the win.
Now NINJA was robbed when he fought HENDERSON, I am a HOLLYWOOD or HENDO
fan and I thought he lost big time. I couldn't even celebrate his win cuz I thought he lost.
