hughes is finished
matt hughes shouldn't get to happy about his GIFT wrapped win. he is not the same....his stand up sucks, he looks sluggish, his shot looks average at best and he doesn't have anymore reflexes. after that fight i hopes he sees the tape and realizes hes done.

It's a tough situation, realizing you're not what you used to be. But someone from his family should talk to him. He seems pretty stubborn, he want's to fight either GSP or Alves... he shouldn't even consider that.

If Hughes is "finished", what's that say for Serra?
Hughes is still a good fighter, he just isn't a top WW anymore. Age has a way of catching up to you.

IMO he didn't beat Serra. Hughes barely landed ANY strikes the entire fight. The majority of his "dominance", was him laying on top of Serra, not even attempting to throw any strikes or improve his position, while Serra layed there looking criminally bored. Any and every moment there was seperation, Hughes got tagged.

absolutely, i still believe that serra won that fight, if it was pride he most certainly would've won the decision for activity on the ground as well as damage, lnp doesn't work there. in terms of serra losing to a natural welterweight when he himself's a natural lightweight, it speaks volumes about his testicular fortitude, even if it was a dominant loss, he has nothing to be ashamed of.

I think it says that Serra is a little fish in a big pond.
