I try not to use any energy at all jumping around or anything. I am too paranoid about blowing my load. I actually don't even warm up that much either letting me ramp up in the first 1 min is easier for me then starting the fight at 100%

I dont get nervous in the ring.. Ever.
Being in the ring is as natural to me as chillin' at a bar w/ my buddies.
Perhaps 'cus I've been a Competitor/Martial Artist my entire life, (24 Years now.. Im 27) so Im just so used to it, and being "in the fight."
Im more focused then; its like me, the opponent, and the Ref. become all that exist.
Everything disappears, and Im completely focused, in that zone.
It comes with time.. Dont be nervous.
I would tell myself if I were you (or someone) that I've done everything I need to do to be there. Ive prepared myself evry way I know how, and every way I should have.
Therefore, I have no reason to worry.. So I dont.

I don't really get nervous for fights, i'm actually really happy and comfortable in there, like i'm always smirking and just happy to be there. The only time I get "nervous" is on the drive there but even then i'm not really nervous just very focused. I always get the runs before fights lol, it's because my body is nervous but my mind isn't, I consider myself really mentally strong so I can block out all nervousness from my mind, my body gets anxious though but I don't notice it besides the runs haha. I remember my first fight I had to pull over at a gas station on the way because I had the runs haha.
Also on a side note, I think the reason I don't get nervous really for fights is meditation, as cheesy as it sounds I always sit down on my knees and just meditate before I go into the ring, I just tell myself that I am a wall, no one is going to stop me today or squash my dreams, not today and not ever and that not even god himself would be able to stop me today. (Vitor Belfort may disagree) It works for me even though it may sound lame, but i'm a very focused person.

I've always been a nervous person as far as competitions go.....mainly because I think alot.....I used to throw up before I had baseball try outs as a kid because i was so nervous......nerves never effected my performances though but still they happen....not so much fear...just anticipation and eagerness to succeed....so yeah I'm probably not the best person to go to about nerves.....i'm nervous as soon as I find out about my next fight but i still train as hard as ever and fight as good as ever....havent lost in amateur competition yet......some guys throw up...some guys shit alot...some guys just pray....either way just destroy

When the fight starts... I usually never attack first. I admit, i'm scared at the beginning, I need to see if he is aggressive or defensive. After couple of mins I start to relax. But in the beginning, it's always awful.

Come to think of it, back when I first started competing @ 18 I was always nervous my cardio would fail, but now 15 minutes doesn't seem very long to me, considering what I'm put through in the gym. Getting my hands tapped in the backroom brings the nerves back, because my cornerman will start giving me advice and I'm reminded of my strenghts...it just fires me up. Gotta turn your worries into something positive. At that point I just want to get in there and do battle. I'm very calm walking to the ring, I tell myself "I wouldn't want to fight me". Thoughts fill my head...my opponent has no idea that double-jab I throw is going to be followed by a leg kick he has no idea how strong my thai clinch is...

I don't get that nervous, really. Even if my opponent were to be tougher, faster, more technically sound than I...the only people in there are him, the referee, and myself.
Okay, maybe if I'm getting my ass beat...but that's natural!

Everyone's got different things that get them pumped up. People fight for different reasons, I think about why I'm fighting, and what I'm fighting for.

For sure I get nervous in the locker room before a fight, usually right before I walk out. But as soon as I get into the ring my mind goes completely blank and its all instics. Also, I get a little nervous when im getting my ass handed to me.
