Video: First Ammy Fight 5/31/09

Finally got the video online. I'm the one walking out at the beginning, in the black and white vale tudo shorts. Won by unanimous decision (29-28 on all cards).

I'm a ground fighter, but this guy was a great local grappler who usually places in the advanced division in most nw tourneys, which of course I didn't find out until after the fight. Backed up wayy to much in the fight.

Without a doubt I need to work on my boxing because I was to hesitant to let my hands go, I didn't feel like I could reach him in the first round so I gave up on it.

Also when he had the rubber guard I was waiting for the standup, I know the offense when your applying the rubber guard when the opponents hand is trapped underneath, theres an armbar on one side and a triangle on the other.

not bad at all, Id definetly tighten up the boxing, youve got some good reach there though so you shouldnt have much problem working the jab if you can tighten that up

Grats on the fight! Keep working on your standup, you could have had some highlight reel punches in here the way he was running at you.

Great fight, congrats on winning. I'm surprised you didn't win by KO with the way that guy was running at you, I was waiting for a superman punch. Anyways congrats.
