trouble getting fights

anyone else have this problem?

-don't know any promotors and there aren't any in the area
-dont really want to join too many gyms because I like to stick to my own style, and evolve it. which is hard to do when you have someone yelling at you telling you to do what they want all the time.
-getting exposure is harder than expecting even after one cage fight, and i probably won't fight for them again because it's too expensive to travel.

my advice to you is invest in a manager lol...self promotion often comes of as desperate and unprofessional...i get offered more fights than i can handle...at least 2 a month

Amateur and professional fights usually held in Hammond, Indiana. Famous alums include Clay Guida, Miguel Torres, and Stephen Bonnar. Matt Hughes fought on Joe Goytia's cards (the promoter), when they were held in Chicago.

I like what Renzo Gracie said about being a fighter. He said something to the effect: "Life is a fight. Its a fight to get out of bed in the morning."
Translation: Being a fighter is an honorable choice.
Just keep your head screwed on and don't let people push you around outside the ring.
The mental factor is key. Oh and eat right and exercise.
