This is something that I figured I would like to ask around about. We have fighters from a number of different countries, who have fought pretty much everywhere in the world where fighting is worth doing.

What sort of restrictions or rules have you encountered about selecting your own entrance music? Are there copyright rules that have to be followed? How much of the song will they play during your entrance? Have you found the rules to be significantly different between two different organizations? Have you ever made a request that was NOT approved for entrance music?

Any and all details are welcome, the more specific the better!

Thats a really great question. I have always wondered the same thing, especially with televised events and copyrighted material.....

We're not allowed to have any profanity in our entrance music. We also can't have anything that says anything 'political' that might be misconstrued as anti-China, or anti-Chinese government.

Best custom entrance song I ever heard was the one written for Gonzaga during the CroCrop fight. I heard that guy perform it the week before at some fights in Massachusetts. It just focused on training and being the heavyweight champ.

The best entrance song I've ever heard was for the Tyson - Spinks fight. Here was Michael Spinks standing in the ring, alone, the lights go dim and the the theme from Jaws starts playing. The poor guy was defecating himself! Best, most intense entrance ever....
