It's always so painful (and unfair) to say goodbye, to let go of someone you are bound to... but the other day I was thinking that, when you love someone, that person has touched your soul and given you something you can never truly lose. You can lose the things you were used to in that person, like their smile, the laughs, the gestures or words, and miss them like hell... but there are other things that stay alive forever, that not even death can take away from you. I don't know anything about your friend, but I can feel the profound pain in your writing and how much you cared about him. So my friend, I'm not good at giving advice, but what I'd like to say to you is keep whatever treasure or gift you felt he gave you in the short time your lives crossed and just use the love those memories inspire in you, to create more good things in your life and in the world. The things you liked most, the things you admired about him or just brought a smile to your face and made your day a better one. If you let those treasured memories insipre to become a better man, then he will never truly die. Aaron will exist through whatever goodness he added to your being.
I'm sure he took the best of you with him, wherever he might be. And I believe you'll see him again. You take care of yourself man. It's great to know you will be there for his family.
