i've read ur interview regarding Kimbo... and it was a good read ... however i felt that you were overlooking a point...
(this is nothing against kimbo cos i think he did excellent for his 3rd or 4th fight!)
I think its fair to say that major promoters over the years have favoured certain fighters (both in boxing and MMA) to win...
i.e. goerge foreman vs schultz, roy jones jr vs the south korean in the 88 olympics, lennox lewis vs holyfield 1, sakuraba more recently feinting in a fight that clearly should of been stopped and letting it go on....
these are not fixes as such
i.e. someone is to drop in round 2 etc...
or someone getting arm barred at the start of the 3rd
but these are situations promoters doing what it takes for there assets remaining assets
what i'm saying is.. because kimbo has sooo much potential money coming in... the bosses wanted to protect him..

little things put a sour taste in the mouth...
- a referee having kimbo win round 2
- the fight hits the ground for 10 secs with James in side mount and getting stood up
- James pinning kimbo down and raining down elbows and the referee shouting at him... if you dont improve position it will get stood back up!
i just wish... mma doesnt go down the road that boxing did
