My First Amatuer Fight
Last night I won my first ammy! Video will be coming soon, all I have is the results page (which they will be adding pictures to shortly).

Northwest FightScene Magazine - Washington State Cage Fighting Championship - May 30th Results

I'm the first bout
Bout 1 - 155 lb MMA

Joey Juarez (West Coast Fight Team) def Chaba Rastegar (Charlie's Combat Club)

by Unanimous Decision (All judges 29-28)

It was alot of fun and a great learning experience. I've been wanting to fight since I was 14 when I first got wind of the sport (damn near 5 years in the making). It was a surreal experience that hasn't set in, and it's one of my dreams come true. I remembered to stay calm and kept breathing. During the second take down I had he kept yelling profanities at me for at least 20 seconds so I was just thinking "oh yeah blow your energy and we'll stand back up". I found it extremely hard to find my range. One of my best things is my jab, and it was absolutely useless yesterday, the only thing I could work was 3's, 2's and kicks. Also I'm better on the ground than I am standing, but he was a ground fighter also so I decided to sprawl and brawl to save energy/do more damage. I'll update this with videos and pictures as soon as I can!

awesome man, my dream is to also eventually fight amateur. congrats on winning, just fighting in the ring is respectable, winning, even more so.

hahaha... good times indeed. Im about to have my 5th amateur fight june 27th. The feeling you get when walking up to the cage is truly amazing. Nothing like it.
