I have used all types of mouth gaurds and by training with them I find that you can get used to any of them.So go with the top and bottom(small chance, but may help you from getting kntfo).I find that the double my brain rattles a little less.

You're out of your mind.

Spar with your $25 Shock Doctor and then spar with a Stars Guards mouthpiece or another comparable mouthpiece. Come back and tell me which protects you better.

I converted a long time ago and I will NEVER EVER use a single ever again... More reasons is that doubles push your bottom jaw slightly forward to prevent you breaking your jaw and getting ko'd as easy. You cant bite your tong which I did a couple of times with a single. And it protects your lips and cheeks from cutting by covering all your teeth not just the top.

You cant talk for shit wearing it in practice tho... and you salavate alot more to start with cuz your mouth aint used to it.

I highly reccomend a double tho. Best choice I ever made.
Good to know.

The only fighter i've noticed wearing one is Phil Baroni, and i always thought it might help his chin because he can take a lot of punishment.

I usually just leave some Beef Jerky in my mouth, that's enough protection!

Always gone with the single for fights. I got mine from Brazil, it cost about 50, but it was worth it. I took some real punishment to the jaw and I walked away with all of my teeth. There's a site I just checked out that has some good looking mouthpieces for a decent price.

OPRO Mouthguards -- The World's Favourite Mouthguard

Hope this helps.
