Looking for a promoter/fight org in D.C./VA/MD

...that will give me health insurance. I would like to fight once every 3 months or something like that, in return for full health coverage. No need for any pay on top of that.

There's nothing wrong with me, so I won't raise your premium. I just want to get health insurance, and would also like to fight, so this seems like a logical solution.

PM me for my info & stats

Also would like to add that I'll fight anyone. I don't pick and choose. I think accepting whoever is put in front of you is a large part of what it means to be a fighter.

P.S. thats not my real picture in my avatar

No. I am 0-0 as amateur and 0-0 as pro

I would be just as content starting off as an amateur, but if I can get health insurance for fighting, then they can call me a "professional", "amateur" or "blow job bob" for all I care.

Theres not much of a distinction between pro and amateur mma anymore anyways. I've seen some really sloppy fights just recently on the CW channel where they were fighting at the Patriot center. Those were professionals? C'mon.

I think the main reason (especially in this area) is because there aren't any muay thai gyms. The bjj in this area is very good while muay thai is comparatively poor.

Been training mma since 2001 (traditional martial arts background before that). I'm a blue belt level in jiu jitsu. Experience in muay thai and currently training boxing.

I might have some videos of me doing some light sparring. idk though. PM me for more specifics.

why do you only want health insurance? do you not have it through your job or something?

Also, man why dont you want to get paid? there is a lot of sacrifice involved that takes time and $$$$$

Not training with anyone right now. Just lifting.

Screw it, it was just an idea and wanted to see if it was possible more than anything.

My long term goals still definitely include muay thai (at a good gym), hopefully I get some fights in too....but if it wasn't meant then it just wasnt.

We can let this thread die out. Thanks for reading yall. PM me for any additional questions please cause this thread is old.
