I'ts actually quite simple. Disregard your am record. You've got to get involved with with a training facility with existing MMA competitve fighters. Train with them and if you show promise and you gell with the rest of the crew; your on your way. Thats how I got started. Good Luck!

What the hell does taking a few more classes have to do with his question? Get a life keyboard warrior.

Option A
Find a different show that will go on your FCfighter.com record. Next fight at the same show until you become the top dog then ask the promoter if he knows of any pro am shows, next sign your fight contract and get paid.

Option B
Check out the king of the cage I know they do pro am shows. Contact them via myspace or their website. Sign your contract as either a am and see how you do or just have your debut as pro. I would suggest doing an am fight first.

Also traveling, unfortunately is what you have to do in this sport nobody said being a fighter is glamorous.

HAHHHHHHAHH you chose icepick as your video music. What is with all these shitty connecticut hardcore bands?Hatebreed was enough, now I have fuckin icepick.
ANYWAY. I have all the respect in the world for you for doing the thing bro. I enjoyed watching you slam that dude like six or seven times.Good luck with your endeavor.
Someone mentioned Virginia earlier. They have fights every month or so at hampton university. This month their actually getting a cage(as opposed to the ring.) It's usually a good time, anyone in the area should come out.

contact the promoters directly (usually a link on the websites) and send them a HL or tape of your fights. Get the dialogue going with a few shows and fight in the one that ponies up the most cash.

Wins usually mean a pay raise (especially if they are by flying arm bar) and once you get a few fights in the books as a pro getting an agent or manager to do the leg work should be easier. Unless you train at MFS or Team Quest or something YOU are your agent.

The paperwork for the athletic commissions is usually online and the promoters can direct you to it. The medical screening isn't too bad but it might run 100-200 depending for the eye check and physical, it depends on what your state requires.
