Hey Fighters! How did you get your nickname?

I see a lot of fighters with some pretty weird nicknames and some that are awesome. If you have a nickname (ie. John "The Meat Cutter" Phoenix) that you use in the ring/cage how did you come by it? Was it a coach? Friend? Yourself?

What were the circumstances? (ie, I was a butcher before I was a fighter and I would bring free meat to the gym for other fighters. Thats how I'm "The Meat Cutter!")

My coach gave me the name "wrecking ball" because I have skinny arms and big hands, and he said when I have the little black gloves on throwing punches it looks like a wrecking ball on the end of a rope

many people have random nick names. neer got his nick name because in his first few fights of his career he damaged his opponents jaw and teeth. thus his name is the dentist

i got it cuz i'm able to take the biggest ass kicking ever and stay standing and still in the fight.

people at the gym just gave me the name and printed it in my shorts on my first week. they got it from some pop culture reference.

I got my nickname from my first mma fight I KO"D my opponent in 11 seconds of the first round. The announce said something like I was on him like a shark, lol. thus it stuck mathew the shark beitz
