Got screwed by a promoter
Sorry guys if it's not the best place to post, but I can't create a new thread in the "ask the fighters" forum.
I need to divide it into 3 parts the post is not that long but the sherdog server is just too much for my connection if a mod could just make it one big post
Here's my story:
I made my pro mma debut in England last december.
I took the fight on short notice, and was scared shitless of losing because it was my first pro fight and I knew I was risking an official record and starting a career. But because I felt I could win that one(opponent was not from a very good gym) I took the fight for that very reason(starting my pro career and hopefully building up a pro record), and won by submission in the first, my first words after it were "Fuck, I'm 1 and 0 in pro, and I'll be on the sherdog fightfinder by the end of the month"!!
Here's where the shit starts: the promoter himself was fighting that night. And he lost.

He hasn't sent the results to Sherdog. He says that because the rounds were shorter, it's considered as amateur mma in the US, even if it was pro in the UK, and that I'm 1 and 0 but only in Europe.
That's utter bullshit, sherdog lists many events with shorter fights, I've got a friend who fought in California and his fight had 3 minutes rounds. Pancrace fights with palm strikes are also listed on the fightfinder.
My fight had 4 minutes rounds, and all the European promotions send their results to sherdog if the fights were pro, even if some minor differences in rules can exist(no elbows, stomp kicks, or bigger gloves, or whatever)

When asked about his loss, this guy pretends it was an exhibition fight...but it was clearly billed as a pro card, with pro rules, and he changed his mind only because he wants to protect his record. He even admits it.
It's extremely disapointing and frustrating. This dude is a teammate(I used to live in England), he was in my corner in my two amateur (semi-pro)fights, I looked up to him, awesome guy, paid me very well for a pro debut, with the expenses(flight and hotel) sorted. But the reality is that he fucked me over.
I've got the full results with all the videos. Do you think the video will be enough to prove my victory? Is there a way to send them to sherdog? I've tried to send it via the feedback box but it hasnt worked.
Thanks a lot for your help and advice guys.

Well, I dont see why I should just move on, I could get over it but at some point you need to think about your carreer, and in the future one more win on my record could make the difference.
I'm 22 been training for 2 years, that's young by mma standards, I take my career seriously and nowadays you need to look after your record.
Maybe you're right, but if there's a possibility to send it to the fightfinder I have to try.
I'm just really disapointed being 1 and 0 was a relief, now I'm a lot more nervous about getting another fight and losing and ending up 0 and 1 instead, it's sad but today it is important to a lot of promotions.

If you've got full results and videos I'm sure there's something you can do about it, unfortunately I can't tell you what. lol
