Fighting With Contacts

Just somethin' that I wondered about today. If you have crappy vision, do you fight with contacts in, or without them?

For me (I don't fight competitiively but in sparring and training) definitely 100% in but then again I am very close to the legal blind limit without them so if I dont wear them I have no shot in hell...

if you can still see the punches and of course your opponent. you can do without. for example if you can play ball without contacts and not get hit in the face with ball when they pass it to you, then you'll be alright. but then if you can't you should get your eyes lasered or something

Dunno about NSAC rules, but some places do not allow you to wear lenses during your fights (probably for risk of abrasions and such). I'm sure if you really wanted them, you could get around it with a docs excuse. Plus who checks to see if you're wearing them anyways.

actually if im correct they make contact lenses that should be used for athletics, including contact sports. I know their is already soft (gas perm) contacts which are ok but i think their are specifically designed lenses.
