That's not true. I'm not saying he was a big HW, because he clearly was NOT, but hitting 200 pounds wasn't as big a challenge as you're making it seem. He was around 215 pounds for his debut fight against TK. The reason he came in so much lighter against Randleman was because he worked extra hard on his conditioning for that fight after seeing the pace with which Randleman fought against Maurice Smith.
And besides: It's not like Kevin Randleman was that big at HW, either. He's an animal, don't get me wrong, but in terms of his weight, he was only around 215-220 in his early UFC career. In fact, I think he won the HW belt at only like 211 pounds or something like that.
