Professional athletes never cease to amaze me. Physically, they are just leaps and bounds beyond what I could ever dream of being. Oh well, the world needs pencil pushers I guess.

Bas for pres!!!!! of the UFC, oh but he's not a childhood friend of the Fertitas. Nevermind, they wouldn't want someone with international conections(loved in europe and asia and brazil) fighter creds out the ass. World class personality and people skills, but he's not a childhood friend of the right people.

Hmm, Bas must be a rabbit. 18 minutes for 3 miles is a perfect 100 pft score in the Marines ... my best was 18:01 (end of boot camp) ... I was always in good shape, and always averaged 18:30 - 19 minutes after that. One guy in our platoon could knock out 3 miles in like 15 minutes ... (I think he busted the 15 minute mark once ... 14:53 is my memory serves me correctly) ... running 3.1 miles in 17 minutes would NOT be easy, but it's not impossible either. I might not believe the average person, but somebody like Bas Rutten is a cardio machine and professional fighter .... so, it's believable to me.

I met Bas once at Dragon Fest. He is the coolest mofo on the face of the earth that I met. At the time I was 20, 5'9'' and 160lbs.

He grabbed me by the shoulder and said "My man, you look like you've been doing my workout!" I knodded and we took a fighting stance for the picture. After the picture Don "the Dragon" Wilson came over and started talking to Bas about a movie.

I wanted to get out of their way and let them talk. So I turned around to walk away and Bas grabbed me. He turned me around and said "Keep training!" and he gave me the patented Bas point. He shook my hand and I walked away. I thought to myself, what an awesome dude. He took the time to encourage one of his fans, even though talking about buisness to another Star/Legend.

Bas is man and has always been a inspiration. The man is awesome and I only have nice things to say about him. Bas is one of my hero's still today.

Never Doubt El Guapo!!!!
