Caught Bas in a Little Lie

Somebody emailed me with this thread so I thought you guys should get the answer from me personally.
OK, when we would run with Maeng Ho, that's Cor Hemmers his gym in Holland) we would have a run in "het Mast bos", that's a forest in Holland. There was a 5 Kilometer warm up run and after that it would get really difficult.
Ask Heith Herring about this run, he'll tell you.
I finished this run in 17 minutes. One time I even finished like a 100 yards before Ramon Dekkers (and he's fast plus he's 165 pounds), 5 KM is 3.1 miles (and a bit, I just converted it).
This was the warm up also and 17 minutes for 5 KM would be about the same as 11 MPH and that was for a run that was also a warm up and even 5 minutes more than the 10 minutes warm up on the treadmill.
Now I probably start on the treadmill not right away there, but I don't lie if I say that I start at 9 MPH, after 1 minute go 10 MPH and after 1 or 2 minutes 11 MPH for the next 8 or 7 minutes.
I used to live next to a forest with hills and ran there 4 days a week, so I ran a lot. You wanna hear impressive? I had a friend who was a boxer in Holland and he ran 20 KM per hour for like 45 minutes, that's 12.4 MPH and he wasn't even a runner, he was a boxer.
I have been doing track and field from when I was 12, I concentrated on high jump, long jump, javelin, discus and shot put also, those results were very good also. I wanted to become the Dutch "Bruce Jenner", so I was training for the decathlon, but than me knees started bothering me and I had to stop.
So yes, I was blessed to run that fast! Party on!
One more thing, because if you think THAT is impressive? Try the run that I do after the warm up. Incline all the way up, going back to 8, 8.5 sometimes even 9 mph. Let the machine run in between your legs and jump on for 45 seconds, and off for 30 seconds, do that 9 times. Than finish off with some flat running for 5 minutes on 9mph and THAN do the power training workout that I do.
And I did that 4 times a week. Do this running when there are not many people around, after the third time that you jump on for the 45 seconds you will start making noices that don't suppose to come out of a human being. Hahaha, at "24 hours" the people will start looking very strange at you.
This excersiee will get you mentally VERY strong, if you look at the clock when you are ON, the seconds will go by really slow, if you are off for the 30 seconds, they will go really fast. Of course this is not the case, but your mind plays tricks on you at that time, trust me on that one!
Godspeed and party on!
