Antonio is back in San Luis Obispo, CA. Back training hard with The Pit, after spending most of June in Europe on vacation with friends.

His bout with Manny Tapia was the last of a 4 bout contract with the WEC. He would like very much to resign with/fight again in the WEC. He feels that he can compete with anyone in the Bantamweight division, including WEC Champion Miguel Torres.

As much as I'd like to see him in the WEC, I think its time they drop him. I mean, he got knocked out by Charlie Valencia and now Charlie's dropped 2 straight. I think talent-wise, he was good for the WEC division a couple years ago, but now the talent in that division is much higher.

his last fight against tapia was exxciting and while he didn't win, he definitiely had his moments and posed some probs for manny; its just manny got his timing and angles down and began to pick him apart and beat him up.

but it was a competitive bout against the legit 135 contender...

i think he can get back into the wec- i don't know how he does, cus in the time he has been gone they have beefed up their roster; so its gonna be that more of a challenge for him to find a place in their rankings.

its an uphill climb; but at this stage i feel anthony can at the least be a gatekeeeper or a gauge of where the up and coming guys are at. At least until he gets on a win streak and gives them a reason to think otherwise.

As long as he is Chuck's slave/butler he will always have a job.

He had a very competitive fight with Tapia and came up short (no pun intended). I'd like to see Banuelos come to Hawaii and fight some of our 135 lb. fighters like Mark "Da Shark" Oshiro, "The One Man Riot" Kana Hyatt and/or Albert "Always Bad" Manners.

Well the whole division cant be stacked with winners, someone has to lose in a fight smartguy. Banuelos and Valencia are two of the most exciting fighters in the WEC, why the fuck should they be dropped? Does anyone here NOT want to see a rematch between the two? Keep exciting fighters around, they are still top guys in the division and are fun to watch. ShaolinWolf, I hope you never become a matchmaker.
