haha.
I don't know why religious folks can't reconcile themselves by saying "well, God was probably smart enough to setup the universe such that man came about in a scientific fashion."
Oh wow

I'm all for teaching "Intelligent Design" so long as it is focused on the truth:
the human race on earth came from an abandoned slave colony established by aliens.

Too many personal stories? What an odd thing to say! I suppose that it must seem like a lot to you, as your husband probably tells you every detail that he knows about me. He has been quite interested in my life. It's actually quite strange that he has cataloged so much of my personal information. I actually had to block him from A-I-M. One might say that he's obsessed with me. He certainly has an unhealthy fixation on me.
Deep down, you already know this. You know how much he talks about me. You must have seen the thread that your husband made about me:

In addition to exceptional posting, an excellent work ethic, and an enviable talent to flame creationists, Mens has been a loyal friend. Mens, finding someone to fill your shoes will be no easy task. Nevertheless, I wish you the best in your future endeavors. You deserve it.

Sounds like a man-crush, doesn't it?
Sadly, I'm afraid that your husband is going to flip out after being all butthurt due to this unrequited affection. I have real life relationships with real people in person; I never thought of your husband as a friend. Never.
Yet I've had a large impact on your husband's life. First I got him to stop believing in God. Then he changed his diet because of me:

Amazing.
It's also amazing that your husband has been running around revealing the content of PMs, a bannable offense. Then again, I can't be bothered to continue an e-feud with low-class people like your husband.

I am his wife. Husband and wife share everything together. Of course I saw everything you said. But I haven't heard about you after he blocked you months ago on AIM.
You are a sad person. If you spent as much effort in life as you do making a fantasy world online then you would have a better life.
I won't waste more time with people like you. Say what you want to say. I won't worry about the reputation on a website. You know the truth.

It seems that not everyone understands that ID does NOT equal creationism.
Creationism is the attempt of some to disregard all scientific evidence gathered by geologists and biologists in the effort to believe that the world is roughly 6000 years old.
Intelligent Design, as I understand it, insists on accepting all scientific evidence--even that evidence that contradicts the old Darwinism--but begs to answer the "why" while exploring the "how". Is it scientific? No, but unlike Creationism, it is not anti-scientific.
I believe in ID, but never do I think that it is appropriate for publicly funded indoctrination of children.

Philip Johnson (who I assume you're referring to) did not think up ID. Johnson critiqued Neo-Darwinian philosophy and argumentation.
If anyone is credited with "thinking up" modern ID, it would have to be cryptographers, forensics, SETI researchers, and archeologists. All guys like Dembski, Behe, Meyer and Woodward did was apply it to the realm of biology.
ID should not be taught in schools though, in my opinion, as anything other than theoretical or philosophical. It hasn't had time to establish itself as a scientific discipline in full form...yet. Heck, even 90% of ID proponents attach all kinds of baggage to what would otherwise be a completely uncontroversial claim--complex specified information is most likely the product of intelligent agency. Period.
