I hate religion more than anything. I was rasied a Catholic by my ma and went to church as a kid, but fell asleep most of the time. Went to Catechism and just drew faces on the religious figures, ect while hating the fact that I was there the whole time.

Not a big deal, but just wondering how many people were raised with certain 'beliefs' and ended up dispising everything they were 'taught'?

I am at the place in my life where I will have a child, and I just know that there is no way that I will raise them in the religious arena that I was, because it didn't help anything. I fucked up alot more than your usual k Even though I know my ma did it for what she thought was the best, does anyone hate the type of people that are like this?

My mom was never religious, but I felt the need to become spiritual through organized religion. I met a pastor of a christian church when I was in grade 4 and went to church till grade 6. I then realized how much history and pieces of literature had been changed throughout history. I became more aware of the world around me and the nature of man. I stopped going to church and dug deeper into the surface. I realized how much problems religion has caused and the changes it took since the beginning of time. I still believe in god, and am spiritual, but in different ways.

I was in the exact same position as you seven years ago and then had an event happen that brought me back to my faith. All I can tell you is that when this sort of thing hits, you'll be the last person who expects it.
