Bullshit, his mother was a US citizen when she gave birth to Obama. This articles states she wasn't a citizen. Where do they come up with this garbage.

I'm not defending the article because I don't know anything about IsraelInsider. But, that is NOT what it said. It said that she wasn't in the U.S. long enough to automatically transfer citizenship to her son. Being born abroad to one United States citizen parent wasn't always enough to be born a citizen. At various time periods there were different regulations regarding how long the parent must have resided in the U.S. to transfer citizenship.

Can they prove his mother wasn't here 5 years prior to the birth and 2 of those years being after age 14? There is no issue of transfer, when one is born on US soil they are citizens automatically.

Your child is an American citizen if he or she was born in the USA.

Your child is also a citizen if he or she was born abroad and both parents are US citizens at least one of whom resided in the US or possession.

If only one parent is a US citizen, that parent must have been physically present in the US or possession at least five years prior to the child's birth, at least two of which were after the age of 14.

Different rules apply for children born out of wedlock or born before 1986.
