Assuming your maintenance calories are ~2800, and you took in 12000 calories for the day, you just put on three pounds of fat. Unless you are starving yourself the other 6 days of the week (or training like mad), your going to end up gaining weight.
Rule of Thumb: Only eat poorly when there are no healthy alternatives available. The only time it is acceptable to eat junk food is when the alternative is going with nothing.

Actually i have about 8% bodyfat and i need around 3500 calories to maintain my weigt as i train mma 6 days a week. When dieting i usually eat about 1600 calories and have lost about 7lbs a week when typically dieting. I know the supposed science about fat gain and loss, with the "lose 1-2lbs a week" bs, cus i think a lot is down to genetics. i can lose and gain weight very fast and tend to preserve muscle mass regardless of what i eat.

Man, your one hell of a lucky guy. If I ran my calories below 2000 (and trained MMA), I seriously think I would die (or at the very least, lose all of my strength/lean mass).
I have a friend like you who is an absolute genetic freak. The guy once ate a 5lbs frozen lasagna in a single sitting, without gaining an ounce of fat.

120 and eating all that....Good Genes I suppose.
I have that problem as well, after practice on Tuesdays I usually order a medium pizza (half pep, half plain), cheesy bread, and 10 Hot wings from Dominos, and I eat the whole thing. I feel like a pig afterwards but I try to eat good for the rest of week. It blows when I have a match coming up and I have to make weight by Friday night, I feel like Gabe Ruediger sometimes. I range between 155 - 170 but when my coach says "Hey do you think you can fight @ 155", I struggle cause I love cake, wings and tostitos scoops with cheese.

BTW I'm not bashing Gabe, I just know how it feels to love food.

And that's nothing.
This has been goin on for over a year and it's a miracle I still only weigh 120. I can't seem to help myself so I am going to seek professional help. Anyone else have a similar problem? I don't throw up my food afterwards btw.

Now i could be way off but isin't loosing and gaining weight very often really bad for your body. I beleive i heard that after a fight ricky hatton will gain alot of weight and than cut it all for his next fight and they said that it fucks up your body. I could be way off though

Way to stoned to remember exactly. It was pulling on to diabetes/cardiac superhighway for sure.

I was drunk in Vegas and I ate 12 cones of softserve icecream at some crappy ass buffet in The Plaza on Freemont.
I was challenging people to an eating contest but nobody wanted a piece of me.

Yea that's the right answer....when you go on a day long smoke-a-thon near the end of the day you sometimes have a meal of the craziest shit you can get your hands on. Would make mickey d's look healthy....
Go to the corner store mad high and spend 30 bucks on crap and slam it down. You'll feel like a champ the next day.
