What would you do with $125,000?
through hard work & cunning I managed to inherit this money recently- it isn't as much as I expected it to be because it was invested agressively during the financial crisis but I am very thankful for it- I wanted to hear some ideas of what others would do in my circumstance.

go to puerto rico and buy a bar on the beach, sleep on a hammock and drink all day.

I've thought about quitting work and going on the surf trip to end all surf trips but I have a wifebeast and two little fucktrophies to pretend to consider

put 100k in a secret savings account and don't touch it. tell your ball and chain you only inherited 25k and use that for your kids' college savings. depending on how old they are, you have a decade or so to make sure they grow up to become capable adults, and also to plot your wife's death. once the kids go off to school, dispose of your wife, pull out that 100k which should have increased nicely by then, and go on your surf trip. it'll take patience, but it'll be worth it.
