A dude banging a lot of chicks is a sign of his virility and desirability as a potential father to pass on his genes.

A chick not banging a bunch of dudes is a sign that she is responsible enough to raise the dudes child plus if she isn't a slut he won't have to worry if the kid is his.

This is balanced out by the fact that men get pissed and kick ass a lot thus resulting in a higher mortality rate at all ages and thus less men than women.

The male species (be it human or animal) is all about reproducing, hunting, and protecting territory. Those are the three basic issues that surround the male.

The female species is all about caretaking.

A male is supposed to fornicate as often as possible in order to make sure the bloodline continues. Somehow women have manipulated us to the point that it seems wrong to have more than one mate. It goes against natural male instinct.
