Well, after the ban parade of the last few months I'm not sure how many of the OT Mars Volta fans are left, but they're playing Toronto tonight for the second time in 3 months. Here's a video for you who like 'em. And here's a fuck you for those who don't:

To tell you the truth, I couldn't much stand At the Drive In. It's funny, too, because I love Cedric's voice, but he was way too raw in the ATDI days. I thought the music was good, but it sounded a little rough around the edges.

huge mars volta fan here. Ive seen them play twice live now and they are amazing you will love it.
Anyone who plays an instrument or knows music well will appreciate TMV.
I should hope so, but I know enough people who hear it and can't stand it. I think the whole "organized chaos" thing flies right over their heads. This will be my third time seeing them, first since they picked up Thomas Pridgen. So far I've seen them play with Jon Theodore and Blake Fleming.

my popularity on sherdog has nothing to do with how much the mars volta sucks... have you ever read his lyrics? its like he just learned english and is writing random shit down... its horrible.. that coupled with his voice just makes me want to burn him alive
