Tips for night shift work?

Before the military i used to work the night shift at a restaurant as a cook, 11pm to 7am, fucked my whole sleep pattern up and i was just turning into an alcoholic around that time, I think you can pull it off but be prepared to go through some fucked up changes

what kind of job is it? Can you sit around? although im guessing your going to sit around either way. My advice is get a Nintendo DS or PSP and get some really long games.

I work the night shift 12am to 8am and I work by myself. I tend to just smoke out all night long. As far as sleeping goes. I usually stay up till around 2pm and wake up at 10pm, 2 hrs before I have to be at work.

I've been working grave for two years now. I love it. I pass the time on the internet and fucking with people. The best part of grave is the part of not having a boss to pester you all day. Find an energy drink you like. When you have shitty neighbors, energy drinks will be your best friend. Darken your room. Buy some ear plugs.

Don't be suprised if you pee four or five times per night. When you're bored and don't have much to do, you will notice every single pang or hunger, and tend to overeat and constantly go to the bathroom.
