Questions for the OTers. I always read posts on how the "New OT" isn't as good as the "Old OT". What was the old OT like? What were the rules? Why did the old OT cease to exist? How long has the new OT been around?

Pretty close to anything goes. No porn, obviously. Some of the flamings that went down were legendary and hilarious. The main difference with the old place was that any old dumbass could wander in and make an ass of themselves and spark one of these legendary flamings. Now, someone has to nurse a troll account through 6 months and 300 posts (needless to say, no one ever does) and the people that could start one through their genuine stupidity and internet naivety get banned long before they could ever post there. We persevered and succeeded for a little bit because of True Forced Loneliness (highly recommend getting familiar if you are not already), but those threads got banned and we have all but killed the movement now. Threads I suggest for a history lesson are "name of cloths line," "do i look like Tim Sylvia?" and anything you find when you search "Smthnwssn."
