I'd watch American gangster but I haven't seen it yet. Great director, great actors and it's well reviewed.

Believe it or not but Wristcutters:A Love Story is actually pretty decent. It got some nominations at sundance/cannes I believe and I was quite surprised after watching it. I was expecting some real emo bullshit like Chumscrubber but it was actually a fun movie. Does it have hints of chick flick? - sure it does. But in the end it was pretty funny, with some interesting music and a great ending.

The Brave One - Horrible, the acting is atrocious and it is way too dark. The plot moves at a crawl and was probably one of the worst "blockbuster" movies I've seen in the last 12 months.
The Deer Hunter - This is a must-see classic, has some real intense scenes and awesome acting. If you haven't seen this already, you should.
The Firm - It's decent, has the typical feel of a book to film movie. If you've read the book you'll probably enjoyed it. If you haven't, well this is only a movie you should watch with little choices. There's much better ones to choose from.
Eastern Promises - Oscar worthy performance of Viggo as a Russian gangster. The ending was a disappointment but the movie overall was pretty damn good. Nude bath-house fight scene for the win.
The Killing Fields - It's been so long, I think I watched this in highschool in a poli-sci class. From what I recall, is a general "war movie" trying to make you all depressed at all the worlds atrocities occuring.
Margot at the Wedding - Never seen it.
Reservation Road - Never seen it.
Right at Your Door - Never seen it.
Trade - Pretty shocking movie about human slavery and how it is at "our doorstep." Shocking stuff with surprising acting all around. Average movie though.
Traffic - Often overlooked movie because of all the cocaine movies made in the late 90's early 2000's. Very good acting with a strong story and screenplay, won some oscars I believe but nothing really different if you've seen Blow/21 grams etc.
Wristcutters: A Love Story - See my previous post.
3:10 to Yuma - The modern western, great acting by Bale and Russel Crowe. Awesome ending and excellent soundtrack.
Fixed.

Gladiator... now that's an overrated movie.
