3:10 to Yuma is supposed to be good, but it isn't...don't believe the hype.

It wasn't as good as it could/should have been. Denzel fucking Washington, Gladiator, Ridley Scott......and THAT is the best they could do? I thought it was going to be the best movie I'd seen in YEARS.

So because you thought it was going to be the best movie you'd seen in years, and it didn't quite live up to your expectations, noone should even see it?

American Gangster was a really good movie because of the story, but there was a LOT of room for improvement and I saw the damn thing 4 times.
I would still recommend it to someone, or Traffic.

There is no purpose in seeing that movie. Like I said, it's practically a half assed version of LA Confidential or Serpico. If you've seen either of those, you don't really need to watch American Gangster. It was just an awkwardly blotched attempt at film noir with too many unnecessary characters that carried zero weight/presence throughout the movie. The dialogue flopped, the story lacked substance, the plot was too straightforward and predictable, and Ridley Scott couldn't deliver the gritty style that is the trademark of the entire genre. Stop throwing your childish arguments at me. "OH YEAH OH YEAH?!?!?!" Sit down.

weak.i bet you would have liked it if denzel's character had been played by some white guy, like sean connery or brad pitt.
