start a site....u gota do a lot of different stuff nowadays. Inernet is your own businees card. try to seperate yourself, see what others put on theirs and do it.....show your published work on the site go out i did stand up.......and jus keep on workin , post different works ie stories ....conversational humpr.....try getting good with flash animation and do your own lil series........you can even do a video youtube blogs on topics anything....tie everything together and eventually they will find you or you can always go to LA and try to promote yourself and if your good(which you will be after trying a whole bunch of different comical expressions and its all exp perfecting) and see how it goes.....
