its good but overrated (the reviews were ridiculous....) I also thought mass effect was better but niether is the best game of all time.

Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy 3/6, and Mario 64 come to mind.

best game ever?! thats a bold statement.. check out xenogears, legend of dragoon, ff7, ff8, and why not throw radiata stories in there

but yeah the game has kicked ass so far... though im only like 30% through it

You can't possibly think GTA4 is just as linear as GoW. Maybe if you only play through the main storyline, but there's a ton more to do. Either way, I don't care. Ocarina of Time beats everything still. Nothing I've played has come close in the last 10 years.
