It's an "underground river", you can swim the whole thing and it's quite long. It's particularly fun when you get to one of the dark caves with almost no light, and start screaming like a bitch, and say things like "TAKE THE FOKIN CROC OFF MY LEG!! OMFG!!11! MY LEEEG!". You can hear people around you start swimming REAL fast.

Hey guys thanks for all the good suggestions.

By the way I do know rudimentary Spanish from growing up on San Antonio and visiting the border towns many times so I won't be getting fooled too easily by the locals and I know enough to get around.

I actually stayed in Cancun for spring break in 2002 but we stayed at the Piramide hotel which wasn't too close to the nightlife although it was a great place. Other than that I've been to Playa and Cozumel for Scuba and vacation with my GF.

I'm definitely looking for a lot of tourists to be around so we can party and would like nothing better than for there to be plenty of European and USA women for my single friends to talk to (not me of course)

By the way, the only time I visited Cancun, the drunken Canadians outnumbered the drunken Americans and they were the ones mostly being arrested on the street for pissing. The locals probably think all of the drunks are pinche Americanos though
