I'm not a fan, especially lately. Their products are weak at best...but...
I never understood why some people hate rich people, especially rich people who aren't old money. He's a self-made billionaire, I've only got respect even if I don't like his product.
Nope, Ubuntu Linux here. I still paid for part of his yacht though because the computer was preloaded with Windoze.
Watch out because Ubuntu refused to play ball with Microsoft now Microsoft is considering going after companies that did not sign on with them. This is over technology related to the networking software built into Linux it apparently violates a number of Microsoft patents. Only one company has signed on to the Microsoft deal Novell. It seems that a number of other companies are going to have IBM lawyers fight this case for them.
GPL made changes to the usage rights to discourage companies from doing what Novell did they if they where to sign the deal they lose the rights to Linux. This is pretty heavy stuff going on and it is not going to get any easier.

I worked for a bookstore in Portland, and he owned the Blazers, he would come in to the store around every home game. First in the store were his team of bodyguards. Big fuckers in Armani suits and clear earpieces, to sweep the store, looking for crazy fuckers, and the store was generally full of them. They would get them out of the store with the security team that works the store, then have him come in. He usually spent over $10,000 on old rare books every time he came in, so the store was very helpful to him, including letting his limo block traffic while he shopped.

I do not know why people think this is hating on the rich heck I watched the CEO of the company I used to work for become a multi-billionaire. I do not hate on most of the rich I just do care for someone who is worth 17 billion dollars gets the State of Washington to spend a billion dollars on a football stadium that the tax payers will now have to foot the bill for the next 20 years. Oh about the women Paul Allen has some of the hottest women on the planet hang on his Yachts.
He was been known on times to take more then one of his Yachts out on the high seas as major party boats. You do not hear me talking about Larry Ellison Yacht it is nearly 50 feet longer then Paul Allen's current Yacht. But then again Larry not draining tax payers for something he can easily afford. I have mad respect for Larry he came from an orphanage to become the 14 richest man in the world. He did not come from a wealthy Washington State family he did not attend private schools and have the privileges of a strong family.
