Virginia Tech is basically near the state line that which boarders the portal to hell.
Students get killed there more often than any University I can think of off hand.
There football team has always been solid for the last 20 + years, but has never been quite good enough to go all the way. Defense is their bread and butter, and they generally rely on an experienced group of players to help lead them to success during their good seasons. If they've got a younger squad of guys, much like with many football teams, you've got to keep a level head on your shoulders.
Injuries have been a plague for them as well.
With that said, fuck the hokies. I was never a football fan anyway, although I know the sport well.
Give me some Duke basketball.
