Last year there was actually a bit of racing in Paris, which made it pretty exciting for a final stage.
I'd not thought of that, but it makes sense.
The top spot was still up for grabs on the last day.

I've always been amazed by the announce team.
They seem to know something about every large looking building along the route.

I remember one occasion where they had a camera shot from a helicopter, but were having difficulty getting the uplink from the camera that was near the race leaders. So the commentator just started talking about the history of the estate that was seen in the helicopter shot.

He might've earned himself some gold medals in the Olympics, but it isn't nearly the feat that winning the Tour would've been.
He won in 1997 then never again and got involved in various drugs, but he was awesome

that's right.
1997 was not Lance's year.
he was awesome.

he was so young in 1997, young enough for the white jersey.

I was searching for a Cycling thread on here for a while! I'm very happy now...wait, this is incredibly old isn't it and I have nothing to say.

In any case, I've been racing and watching road racing forever (only sport I like more than MMA) so any new threads started will be greatly appreciated. Hell, I'll start some myself.
